Customers, installers, distributors, and other users are responsible for ensuring that product installation and use comply with all applicable federal, state, local, and other laws and regulations.
OBD AND DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTIONS
ON-Board Diagnostics and Vehicle Monitoring
On-Board Diagnostic systems and emissions-related diagnostic functions are integral parts of modern vehicle compliance systems.
INPRONIC products must not be used for the purpose of disabling, masking, suppressing, or rendering inoperative legally required emissions-related diagnostic functionality.
Installations and configuration should preserve the intended operation of applicable vehicle monitoring and diagnostic systems.
INSTALLATION AND COMPATIBILITY
Vehicle electronic networks vary by manufacturer, model, configuration, protocol, wiring architecture, and software version.
Before installation, users should verify:
- Network protocol compatibility
- CAN communication speed
- Connector pinout
- Electrical voltage requirements
- CAN-H and CAN-L configuration
- Network termination
- Module compatibility
- Intended vehicle application
Improper installation or configuration may interfere with vehicle communication or electronic-system operation
INPRONIC recommends installation and configuration by individuals familiar with automotive electrical systems and vehicle network communication.
